My name is Gila Melamed, and I am the founder of Gila–Home Design & Color Guru. For over 25 years, I have been helping people bring harmony, beauty, and personal expression into their homes through the art of color and design. My dedication to creating meaningful spaces has earned me Houzz’s Best in Customer Service award every year from 2019 to 2025.

Alongside my design work, I am the author of two memoirs, including I AM! A Self-healing and Self-discovery Journey through Fear and Friendships, and Traveling with the Wind to Find My Soul from the series Nomad at Heart: A Memoir Collection. Through my writing, I share my journey of courage, growth, and spiritual connection.

Today, I live as a nomad, successfully serving clients remotely while balancing my creative passions with seasonal work that connects me to new communities and experiences. I also express my creativity through photography, capturing the breathtaking landscapes and quiet beauty I encounter while traveling across the United States and Canada. Whether through design, writing, or photography, I weave together the colors and stories of the natural world with authenticity and heart.
