The Beauty of Not Knowing, Shaped by Curiosity — The Story of a Colorful Vase

I loved every minute of creating this glass fusion vase. Sitting for hours, fully immersed in the process, felt like a quiet meditation—each moment a pleasure.
I sensed from the beginning that I was working with something beyond my full understanding. That curiosity made the experience even more meaningful, as I watched the piece come to life and learned from it along the way.
I used an 8-inch circle, which turned out to be larger than needed. Once melted, it created a thick rim at the top of the vase. It made the piece a bit unstable and, in some ways, took away from the delicate beauty I was hoping to achieve.
I knew there was a chance I would need to break it into smaller pieces and transform it into pendants. Now I have plenty of new inventory to share as I visit galleries on my travels. I am also happy to share that a few local galleries are now carrying my work.
Next, I will try again with a 6-inch circle and see what unfolds.
I will keep you posted on the process.
