Thank you for my pit crew!

It was a restless night. My brain was spinning, and my emotions were a mix of fear and excitement, which was confusing. I will be on the road in a few hours, starting my epic road trip.

The incredible support I receive from Adi, Ron, and my dear friends is beyond anything I have ever felt. It's funny, I feel like I am about to start an expedition to the land of the unknown, and I have the most incredible team behind me, and it makes me feel safe, loved, and above all, belong.

Understanding at a very early age that I didn't fit into my own family was always a painful feeling for me. The person I most felt connected to or loved by was my mom, but unfortunately, I lost her when I was 17.

Having love around me is sweet and powerful; the lack of it in my past makes it much more grateful and appreciated.

I honestly could not do it without each one of you. I will miss you all. I hope you know how much you all mean to me and how I'm beyond thankful for your love and support.

You are my family! You are my pit crew!

Thank you, Adi, Ron, Eva Marie, Norman, Matthew, Aimee, Marianne, Mel, Shari, Kim Lori, Wendy, Mike, Gail, Eric, Leda, Chris, Terri, Amy, Bernie, and Betsy.

With Love

Gila

On a different note: Unfortunately, I'm heading into a few days of rain. It's far from being ideal for the way I'm traveling. I knew from the beginning that there would be days that I would be challenged, but I was hoping I would have much more experience under my wings with my setup.

Well... I will have to make the best of it! :)
